Morris Capital owner Scott Morris has been in the real estate industry for over 20 years, spanning large-scale land development projects, residential and commercial construction, property management, loan origination, and loan workout/liquidation of foreclosed properties.
Scott’s experience includes contracting for the development and sale of over 2,000 residential lots in the Dallas-Fort area, encompassing site selection, entitlement, raising debt & equity, coordinating offsite utility infrastructure, supervising project engineers and architects, overseeing contractors during the development process, and delivering finished lots to home builders.
Scott’s depth of knowledge and industry experience set him apart and make him a unique private capital lender. He understands the challenges real estate developers and investors face. It is this experience that has given him an appreciation of meeting the challenges of providing creative private real estate finance solutions.
Scott is a graduate of University of North Texas, with a degree in Accounting. In his free time, Scott enjoys tennis and golf. His greatest joy comes from his faith, his wife, and his children.
Morris Capital is a veteran-owned business. Scott served in the United States Marine Corps (1990 - 1993). He served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the first Persian Gulf war as well as serving in Somalia. During his time of service, Scott earned the rank of Sergeant and was recognized with a number of awards and medals while serving our country.
